LIKE DISLIKE buttons!!!

I have added a simple code i managed to grab for like and dislike buttons.

I think this is a nice touch and it allows each item to be rated individually weather they like the review or not. I feel this is a handy tool to have so that everyone can see the majority vote on the venue/ review.

It makes things visually easier

Shop front Decal

I have also created a Shop window decal so restaurants and other shops can put it in their window. I would like my website to become a reputable place to read and write reviews. Hopefully with this decal i can achieve this. This is what it looks like

So as you can see there is a clear connection from this shop decal/ sticker to this other simple design i have made.

The website is really taking form now. I am yet still to populate the different pages, again i am finding this part hard. I am having to tout and look for people through other reviewing websites. I will try and do some things myself with my own views but i don't want it to get to personal with holidays and places i have visited etc...

We have the key

I have now designed a little JPEG with a key and a 'R' as the end of the key instead of your traditional locking key you would see. I have also put underneath the key itself 'We have the key'...
I have done this because now i can start thinking about merchandising. Creating stickers, t-shirts and window decals etc...

What i am hoping for is to get this image on the go. Getting my stickers and logo's out there so when people look at it they wonder what is it, they become intrigued and want to find out more. Once this brand image has become publicly visible people will then associate it with my website thus getting more views and more publicity,

This is what the key looks like for now. We can call this a prototype but the idea is there. I personally like the image. Its simple and intriguing. I would ask the question of, 'what is the key'. Since this website is called Rate My Space and that's exactly what people will be doing we can take reviewing to a whole new level. Rating park walks or rating a space on the street. That is the beauty of Rate my space. It can also be an intangible thing.

Wifi now Ethernet

Apon viewing my website externally from my network, i had found it quite slow on response. I was confused as to why! 

Having a think about it i realised that my website was hosted over a wifi connection... I have now adjusted settings and ports etc... To have it running on a cable.

This now has brought my website up to speed

Black to white !

I have recently changed my colour theme from black to white. This made the website look more appealing when viewed. White is a brighter colour.

Re-Design

I have just redesigned the website... again. i feel that this design makes the website look and feel better. White/black/blue is a good colour scheme i think.

I have also added the 'Inside the UK' and 'Outside the UK' for my travel section. so then i can really start with the boring bit. filling up the website with info.

Theme

I have just created a new look for the website. Black and red. i think these colours a plain and simple but yet stand out very well. It uplifts the website makes it look better.

I have also had a move around with the navigation bar and the line underneath it. 

Now to add the guts

Content

Still struggling with the content i want to put into each page. How do i set out each page so that every aspect is covered but every aspect has good enough detail.

Travel for instance is a big one. 2 area's i think would be best is 'in the UK' and 'outside the UK' these are both going to be massive area's for travel.

Testing that i can blog whilst i am in the filed. Where most of the ideas of mine come from.

I think its time to start developing some ideas for logo's and banners! this i need to think about a lot because this is going to be my key aspect of my website.

Designing such things should be though about very carefully. Things should be considered like:

- Colours
- Shapes
- Styles
- Size
- Positions
- Posted on every page?
- Individuality

All these things once considered and evaluated will have the bet outcome.
Time for bed now though. I'll sleep on it ;)

Finding people!

I have managed to grab a few people on board. I must still find more people. I will search high and low for the right people for the right job. Since this website is going to be so vast i will be needing a vast number of people. Every product and space must be rated. from technology to restaurants to great places to go for a walk. It all must be rated to give the consumer a great understanding of it.

I have just started this blog to give an insight in what i am doing and where i am going in terms of building this website. I have just started off with a basic style. This way it makes it really to find the information people are looking for.

Basic styling and layout done.
